Kale is getting a lot of attention these days, and with its high nutrient content there’s no reason that it shouldn’t. Loaded with the antioxidants carotenoids and flavonoids, kale is an excellent source to fight against cancer-causing free radicals. The high levels of vitamin A and C ensure a healthy immune system, and also play an important role in cardiovascular health.

Rich in vitamin K and omega-3, kale is an excellent food to fight against inflammation, which is linked to several diseases. Also rich in iron, manganese and calcium, this waxy green leaf packs a powerful nutrition punch that should be at the top of everyone’s list!

Another reason to fall in love with this beauty is its high fiber content which helps cleanse the body of toxins. It also contains glucosinolates which are known to prevent cancer cell growth.
